  1. Day 1 - San Diego, CA

    Welcome to San Diego, known for its beaches, magnificent coastline and bustling city lifestyle. The world of wonder awaits as you step on board Scenic Eclipse and raise your glass to toast the start of your luxurious cruise.

  2. Day 2 - At Sea

    With so many choices on board you will be surprised how quickly time passes on board. Choose one of the daily activities, join an entertaining discussion in the theatre, or make time for your own fitness regime.

  3. Day 3 - At Sea

    Enjoy your time on board at leisure. Try a game of bridge or canasta in the Observatory Lounge or take some time out to relax in the Senses Spa.

  4. Day 4 - La Paz

    The capital of Baja California Sur, La Paz is known for its old-world charm and laid-back atmosphere. Stroll along the seafront promenade and sample the culinary delights of Plaza Constitución, home to delicious restaurants and picturesque bars.

    Head towards San Rafaelito Island for the chance to snorkel with a small colony of Californian sea lions, or spend the day exploring this charming town.

  5. Day 5 - Isla Cerralvo

    Isla Cerralvo, also known as Jacques Cousteau Island, is surrounded by an abundance of marine life. Swordfish grippers and marlin flourish in these waters making it a prime location for big game fishing. Relax and take in the idyllic atmosphere of azure waters, picturesque sunsets and some of Mexico’s best diving spots. It’s no wonder Isla Cerralvo is known as “the world’s aquarium” for its rich marine life.

    Go kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding along the azure waters, or search for wildlife on Zodiacs with our on board Discovery Team.

  6. Day 6 - At Sea

    Enjoy a relaxed day at sea on board Scenic Eclipse. There is ample time to rejuvenate and a plethora of venues to explore.  Choose a class in one of the fitness spaces or relax in one of the therapy lounges in the Senses Spa.

    Spend the day at leisure exploring the various amenities of your luxurious Discovery Yacht.

  8. Day 8 - Huatulco, Oaxaca

    Uncover one of Mexico’s best kept secrets, Huatulco. Get a glimpse into the rich heritage of the south-eastern region of Oaxaca with 16 different indigenous groups calling this land home, and each with their own distinct foods, culture and customs. Spot an abundance of wildlife at Huatulco National Park where around 300 bird species, 87 types of amphibian and reptile flourish in this unique ecosystem. Sit back and relax on the stunning shores of Bahía de Cacaluta, considered a tropical oasis for its pristine sand and turquoise waters.

  10. Day 10 - Puerto Quetzal

    Named after Guatemala’s national bird, Puerto Quetzal offers you the opportunity to explore the untouched countryside of the Central American nation. Puerto Quetzal is the gateway UNESCO-listed colonial capital of Antigua, located 1,500m above sea level and famed for its Spanish colonial buildings including the infamous baroque La Merced church.

  11. Day 11 - Acajutla

    A stone’s throw away from San Salvador, the Pacific coastal port of Acajutla offers quiet beaches and pristine waters. The stunning beach of Los Cabanos draws visitors looking to soak up the sun and relax on the shores of paradise.

  12. Day 12 - Corinto

  13. Day 13 - Bahia Culebra (Marina Papagayo)

    Famed for its pristine beaches, calm waters and top-rated scuba diving. Admire Costa Rica’s vast natural beauty at surrounding national park where iguanas, deer and white-faced monkeys roam. The region is home to 115 species of mammals.

  14. Day 14 - Puerto Caldera > Monteverde Cloud Forest

    Make your way to the famous cloud forest of the country, Monteverde where you will meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers. Visit NATUWA – Macaw and Rescue Centre to learn more about the conservation of native flora and fauna, including endangered species. Enjoy the scenic ride through forests and farms as you ascend the Tilaran Mountain Range for amazing views of the countryside and Nicoya Gulf. Arrive at your luxury eco-hotel for the next two nights. Join your Tour Director for a delicious welcome dinner this evening.

  15. Day 15 - Monteverde Cloud Forest

    Take a Sky Tram up to the Continental Divide and to one of the highest mountains of Monteverde. If you’re feeling adventurous, take a ride on the Sky Trek, a system of zip lines consisting of four kilometres of linear cable, and safely zip through the forest. Five observation towers that rise above the treetops will give you the unique opportunity to view the cloud forest from above. Alternatively, enjoy taking a walk over the hanging bridges.

  16. Day 16 - Monteverde Cloud Forest > Arenal Volcano

    It is time to leave the cloud forest behind and move towards the rainforest on the northern plains of the country. Cross the Arenal Lake by boat, one of the most scenic rides that you will have during your journey. Once on the other side of the lake, head towards the town of La Fortuna, home to the colossal Arenal Volcano that will be your host for the next three nights. Relax at the facilities of this immersive five star lodge this evening, and enjoy dinner with the group.

  17. Day 17 - Arenal Volcano

    Enjoy a guided journey through the Arenal Vida Campesina farm, experience life in the Costa Rican countryside by participating in local activities like milking a cow, making tortillas, gathering vegetables from the vegetable garden, milling sugar cane, and drawing water from a handmade well. You will also have the opportunity to sponsor and plant a tree in danger of extinction, followed by a delicious and wholesome organic lunch made with products harvested from the property and cooked on a wood stove.

  18. Day 18 - Arenal Volcano

    Enjoy the sights, sounds and tranquillity of the rainforest as you quietly paddle along the Peñas Blancas River. Keep your binoculars ready as a wealth of exotic wildlife awaits you, including monkeys, sloths, and numerous birds. Your expert guides will regale you with enlightening details about the plants and animals you encounter. Soak up the serenity as you travel down the river and capture memories on your camera.

  19. Day 19 - Arenal Volcano > San José

    Make your way to the capital of Costa Rica, San José. En route, stop for a delicious lunch prepared using authentic, local ingredients at a traditional restaurant in Poas, then continue towards La Paz Waterfall Gardens. Situated within a private park at an altitude of around 5,000 feet, you can walk along the 3.5 kilometres of trails to visit the five waterfalls, cloud forest and rainforest areas, and the various exotic animal and flower exhibits. Continue to your Special Stay hotel, a beautiful colonial hacienda set on a 30-acre coffee plantation. Relax for the rest of the day and enjoy its fine facilities.Tonight, exchange notes of your memorable Costa Rican holiday with your newfound friends at a nostalgic farewell dinner.

  20. Day 20 - San José

    Say farewell to Costa Rica as you transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport, taking with you a lifetime of wonderful memories.
